The Gaelic warriors of old often are described wearing broad, heavily decorated war belts. Reconstruction of course is guessing at best, for there is no
archaeological evidence I know of, unless you take into consideration the Germanic warrior belts of the late Roman perod . This one is my interpretation of a rather plain Irish-Norse war belt, decorated with Viking
age buckles. It is perfect to wear over chainmail or other armour.
